A friend and photography mentor of mine shared this idea with me: She started Project 365 - a way to document your life with a visual history ..take a photo every day for the year..Thank you Debbie! So I am joining her in this journey. I am going to try and take a photo every day for the year of 2009. Have a look - comment and let me know what your thoughts are. If you have any words of wisdom or suggestions I welcome it. I feel like there is so much I don't know about this new line of work I am in...so let me have it!

"Worship at Radiant"

This morning Ben along with sister Jessie and "the band" led worship at church. The entire service was spent praising and worshipping God - It was a wonderful way to start the week.

"Would you go to Snoball with me?"

It is tradition for the young man to come up with a creative way to ask the girl to the winter formal "snoball" dance. Taylor's boyfriend invited her over for dinner and a movie this evening. He had created a snowball in the box and wrote on the lid - asking her to the dance.....of course she said yes :) She was so excited to come home and share the news with us.

Took a drive out towards the Gorge this morning - stopped off at Rooster Rock park for this picture. Very windy, but still a beautiful day.

This gave me the gobbles...I mean the giggles!

You know how sometimes you see something and it just gives you the giggles? Well I was looking for a craft project to do with the little sweet hearts I care for - and then I saw it - and I laughed and had to do it.
Special hats to wear on Thanksgiving - their very own "Turkey Hats"....a drumstick for each side of the head.
Thank you all for the wonderful comments - I have been crazy busy editing senior portraits...and deadlines are approaching quickly. Please know I will comment when at all possible and I appreciate you all.
Thank you!

"When I count my blessings the greatest of my joys, Our parents gave us siblings, instead of a room of toys."

These 3 special kiddos are very dear to me and they are growing up in family where they know just how great "family" is - constantly surrounded my many loved ones. Something so important these days.

Beautiful Amber
Love this girl - her mom and I are dear friends and I have had the pleasure in watching her grow into this beautiful young lady over the past years. She just got her braces off and of course we had to go out and get some pictures of her showing off her new fabulous smile.

Fiddler on the Roof
Tonight was the final performance of the musical Fiddler on the Roof, performed by Gresham High School. They did an amazing job. Of all the schools in our area - Gresham High has by far the best drama and choir departments.
My daughter's boyfriend played Perchik and the young lady who played Hodel is a dear friend as well. This was our second time going and was so worth it.

"The Beautiful One"

Tomorrow is my dear friend Debbie's birthday so tonight a few of us ladies went out for some "girl time" to celebrate her birthday a night early. What a fun time we had. She is my fellow photog buddy - love spending time with her doing what we are so passionate about - she is also a fellow Smugmugger...check out "Picture this by Debbie" she is awesome...and also the reason I started doing the dailys....which makes todays daily picture so appropriate.
God has blessed me with a wonderful friend = thanks Deb!

"Little People, Big World Fans"

For all you fans of the TLC show "Little People, Big World" - Ali and I met Amy Roloff - during a food drive sponsored by the local radio station -"The Wolf". She was very kind and spent quite a bit of time talking to Ali about Halloween costumes - which is Ali's favorite topic. As we walked away Ali in her sweet 3 year old voice said - that nice lady is as big as me.

"Snow is on the mountain"

Late this afternoon I noticed the sun shinning on our beautiful Mt. Hood and it was loaded with snow...I would have liked to take a drive to a spot I could have gotten a clear shot of the mountain - but this will have to do.
Thank you all for your comments - I appreciate all of them during these busy days. Hope all is well!

A teacher friend of mine has always referred to my oldest daughter as
"Mona Lisa" - a timeless beauty. I tend to be bias being her mother - but I too believe she is a timeless beauty from the day she was born and always. I love you Taryn!
